First, what are stainless steel seamless pipes?
Stainless steel seamless pipes are hollow, long strips of steel, widely used as pipelines for transporting fluids such as oil, natural gas, water, coal gas, and steam. Additionally, they are lighter in weight while maintaining the same bending and torsional strength, making them widely used in manufacturing mechanical parts and engineering structures. They are also commonly used in the production of various conventional weapons, gun barrels, and artillery shells.

Second, what are the applications of stainless steel seamless pipes?
Stainless steel pipes are safe, reliable, hygienic, environmentally friendly, and economical. The successful development of thin-walled pipes and new, reliable, and convenient connection methods gives them many advantages that other pipe materials cannot replace. Their application in engineering will increase, and their use will become more widespread, with a promising future. With the implementation of my country's reform and opening-up policy, the national economy has experienced rapid growth, and a large number of urban residential buildings, public buildings, and tourism facilities have been constructed, placing new demands on hot water supply and domestic water supply. In particular, people are paying increasing attention to water quality, and their requirements are constantly rising. Galvanized steel pipes, a commonly used pipe material, are gradually being phased out due to their susceptibility to corrosion, influenced by relevant national policies. Plastic pipes, composite pipes, and copper pipes have become the more common materials in piping systems. However, stainless steel pipes are superior in many situations, especially thin-walled stainless steel pipes with a wall thickness of only 0.6–1.2 mm. These pipes are safe, reliable, hygienic, environmentally friendly, and economical, making them ideal for high-quality drinking water systems, hot water systems, and water supply systems where safety and hygiene are paramount. Proven by domestic and international engineering practice, they are one of the most comprehensive, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly pipe materials for water supply systems, and a highly competitive option that will undoubtedly play an unparalleled role in improving water quality and raising people's living standards. In building water supply systems, while galvanized steel pipes have ended their century-long reign, various new plastic and composite pipes have developed rapidly. However, these pipe materials still have some shortcomings and are far from fully meeting the needs of water supply systems and national requirements for drinking water and related water quality. Therefore, experts predict that building water supply pipes will eventually return to the era of metal pipes. Based on international application experience, thin-walled stainless steel pipes are recognized as one of the best-performing pipe materials in terms of overall performance.

Fourth, Classification of Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes
1. Classification of Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes by Production Method
Seamless steel pipes—cold-drawn pipes, extruded pipes, cold-rolled pipes. Stainless steel seamless pipes are long strips of steel with a hollow cross-section and no seams around their perimeter.
2. Manufacturing process and flow of seamless steel pipes: Smelting > Steel ingot > Rolling > Sawing > Peeling > Piercing > Annealing > Pickling > Ashing > Cold drawing > Cutting > Pickling > Warehousing
3. Characteristics of seamless steel pipes: From the above process flow, we can easily see that:
(1) The thicker the wall of a stainless steel seamless pipe, the more economical and practical it is; the thinner the wall, the higher its processing cost will be.
(2) The process of stainless steel seamless pipes determines its limitations. Generally, seamless steel pipes have low precision: uneven wall thickness, low brightness of the inner and outer surfaces, high fixed-length cost, and pits and black spots on the inner and outer surfaces that are difficult to remove.
(3) The inspection and shaping of stainless steel seamless pipes must be done offline. Therefore, it demonstrates its superiority in high-pressure, high-strength, and mechanical structural materials.
